Garage Door Insulation, anyone done this?

I looked at those kits and ended up using 2" SM rigid insulation panels instead. I just trimmed them to fit the panels and pressed them into place, they haven't moved in 2 years now.

Based on the pricing of the board vs that kit it appears like it wouldn't even be cheaper to do the board it seems?

Might not be cheaper but the rigid insulation will last a long time, I did mine over 15 years ago and it's still perfect.

I used that same kit on my door a couple years ago, makes a huge difference in summer and winter. Garage stays cool in summer and warm in winter. Zero issues so far (double wide roll up door so I used two kits).

Sweet, thanks joe.
Did you use any spray foam for the cracks and crevices?

No that seemed pointless to me. I mean the door itself is made of huge cracks between the panels. I insulated and drywalled my entire garage 5 or so years ago and installed my radiant heater is in the "front" of the garage opposite the door. Doing that I noticed a temp difference from front to rear which I decided to put up with for a couple years. Finally I bought that kit and now the garage stays even temp, and my heat runs less once the garage is up to temp.

I doubt you will regret doing it, especially how cheap/easy it is to do.

I think we all knew what he was talking about. I know a lot of home garages and i think about...0 of them have an actual roll up door.

Nowhere did he mention about this door being at his home in the first post.... and I do know a few home garages with roll-up doors too (I installed them)

I wasn't trying to be picky, just trying to get all the correct information so I could give him the correct answer.

I used that kit on my door, with 2 small space heaters in the winter going I can work in a t shirt. Makes a huge diff. No complaints
