Gall Bladder

So was in Arizona for work from 9-20 and the 22nd at 4am had stabbing pains in stomach region. Turned out my Gall Bladder crapped out on me. Still in hospital for recovery, had it removed at 10am.

My question for people who have had there's removed is: Did you change your diets? Any weird side affects? How long was heal time from a laparoscopic surgery? Any words of advise?

Thanks

No personal experience but wishing you a speedy recovery. I think diet will be important. Do what the doctors tell you is all I can say. Hope you get out of there soon. :)

I built a stone wall in front of my house the day after the surgery about eighteen years ago. I think I only rested the day I actually had the surgery. No weird side effects or significant pain. Slightly less tolerance for spicy foods.

My wife had hers removed a decade ago and she does not tolerate bacon and breakfast sausage well. Other than that most food are fine as long as they aren't ridiculously spicy. My neighbor had his taken out a month ago and doesn't have any of the food issues.

Greasy foods and dairy may cause you some issues with it gone. You will figure it out pretty quickly. ;)

I think it varys between people, my dad had his removed and did not seem to have a problem with any foods, but than again he never really ate spicy foods
