Testing on Oct 20th, I finally clicked off an 8-second pass. The video isn't super exciting, but still shows the pass and what the car looks like. It has a ton left in it for next season. I found an intercooler restriction that was holding the car back (BADLY) and this pass was on an el-cheapo e-bay intercooler that doesn't cool well at all. I know with a real intercooler and a couple other tricks I have up my sleeve it has another 200whp left in it for next season. This pass was at about 620-630whp through a PI converter that stalls at ~7500rpm at this power level. Including the inefficient DSM auto trans (they dyno 15-18% less than a 5-spd, I've run the same combo with a trans swap and saw this), it is making in the 900-950hp range at the crank from 139ci (2.3l).

I want to toss out a few thank-you's to people that have been helping me along the way:
http://www.converter.com - even though I'm only through the traps ~800rpm above stall speed, ~7% slip is getting the job done and clamping down quick
http://www.wiseco.com - I'm going to check for the truth in these pistons being designed for 1400hp over the winter
http://www.forcedperformance.net - I've been working with these guys on cams, they are a diamond in the rough for properly tested and well-engineered products
http://www.turbodriven.com - Borg Warner Turbos for working with me on this 74mm combo and having wheels that whup the Garrett stuff
http://www.monkeywrenchracing.com - where I tune and dyno the car and Matt has been a great sounding board for all my crazy ideas and half-baked theories! These guys know their stuff.
