Ryan came with me tonight to pickup this matching coffee table and 2 end tables. It "was" nearly immaculate.

I was gone for 15 minutes down to Mark's putting his eyedrops in his eye and came back to this wreck.

Let me tell you that Haylee is now in her crate for the rest of the night...

She does this stuff when I go away and dont take her.

You cant have animals and expect to own anything nice..

:depressed:

She is bored when you don't take her.....obviously

I don't expect anything to stay nice because I have a zoo here! Although they rarely mess stuff up. Fortunately I have a dog that doesn't chew things.

Bear used to be the same way until I got Cha-cha to keep him company when I leave. I would use wood filler and re-stain it. Or you could be like Jerry. Turn the bad spot so it's not seen and call it good.

It does suck though because those were some nice ass tables. They'd go nicely in my place. LOL

UUUUUMMMMMM, Haylee = 11 month old Chocolate Lab....

labs chew everything!i had one omg!that dog chewwed a bike tire rite off the rim,and anthing else she could get in her mouth,i had special order bolts for a dirtbike in a cup,i found parts of the cup,who knows on the bolts.

Im glad my dog never chewed up anything.

werd...

When he was a pup Woodson chewed through the cable chord, and chewed on a cheap chair. But he literally hasn't chewed on anything that isn't his toy since. Except my football.....I had bought him a chew toy that looked like a football, and after that he decided my football must be a chew toy too:lol:

I've never understood making chew toys that look like purses, shoes, other dogs, ect. Then they'd think ALL shoes are chew toys!

years ago I had a male black lab that chewed some computer wires, the dryer vent pipe in two and no great loss but the zipper off my local 475 jacket..

Im just going to start putting her in her crate whenever I go anywhere even if its just across the street.

problem solved.

our dog chewed up a window frame. holes in the walls, etc. she's all past that now. but moms used to get the walls and stuff damp, then sprinkle chili powder on it. our dog doesnt like spicy foods. hahaha.

Crate training is a GREAT thing. Keeps them out of trouble when they are younger and allows you to keep an eye on them when you are there. Both of my dogs were crate trained the first couple of years I had them. Then they earned their right to stay out. And thankfully have not chewed any furniture. I did have one of them shred one of their dog beds one night when I didn't come home. I think she was mad. But I had my buddy let them out so they wouldn't be inside for too long. Still mad at me I guess. Oh well.

And that table is fixable. They make those stain markers to repair furniture. If you can find the right shade you can touch up that table leg.

Good plan. Obstruction surgery is expensive if they eat something and it gets stuck!
