Well, I did attach the pics and the letter above is what I sent to them already. Everything was factual and he has already replied. Why shouldn't I bring up what a pain in the ass they've been for the 29 years I've lived here? I haven't been calling the city 20 times a year and they have to know what I've put up with and enough is enough. The 2 previous times I've complained went nowhere so I gave up 15 years ago...
It does need to stop at some time. I really didn't want to put the fence up, I really didn't, but THEY forced me to.....Dogs constantly getting loose, multiple kids running around in shitty, wet diapers playing in the back yard where the 4 dogs were living. The dogs were never inside and they never picked up after the dogs, so you can imagine what the toddlers feet looked like. I got tired of looking at them..
Gary
I'm on your side Gary, I just didn't want the city to think this was another
case of "warring neighbors". You most definitely have legitimate concerns
that raise to the level of "community health & welfare".
You have to do it correctly. step one; Zoning & Compliance Specialist Officer has
to have the opportunity & time to do his job. Second step if not satisfied, contact the
Mayor's Office and ask for action. Third step; attend the city council meeting & read
your statement of facts to the board and request their response.
It is a shame this wasn't addressed years ago. If you don't get satisfaction
this time around, plan to attend the next city council meeting. There is always
a designated time / opportunity for the public to speak, that would be your
time to publicly voice your concern to the board - they will act!
The question of the possibility of drug manufacturing raises a whole other
set of concerns, and yes you may want to visit your local police dept. and
have a little chat with them as well.
Those who do it correctly, normally get action. I wish you the best with this.
