Fuel System ???

fyi on used areomotives, the manufactures date is stamped on the bottom..

i'm getting ready to rework mine shortly. i need to resump the tank because of cavitation issues. also need to rewire, i had a slight flammage problem...

so how big of a fuse should you have on an A1000? i ran 10 gauge to the rear. any special requirements on relays? something happened with mine and i'm not sure what...

also, people that run braided up front, where do you route your fuel lines? tunnel, sfc or what... my first thought was to run inside the car through the front up to the engine but it seems i heard the tracks want it outside the cabin... seems more protected inside.

Pretty sure you can't run fuel line inside the vehicle per NHRA rules. May end up just getting a new A2000-hard to beat the price. Limige-good wiring question-haven't even thought of wiring yet. How/where did you mount the pump? Did you use -10 line?

no you cant have any fuel running inside the car,you cant even run fuel pressure guage in car with out an isolator.

i'm running -10 from the tank to the intake into the filter, then reduced to -8 into the aeromotive regulator, split into two -8's into my fuel rails, with a -6 return to the tank.

pump is mounted on a plate just below the tank, next to the drivers frame rail. i had two bulkheads welded into the bottom of the factory tank, put shutoff valves on 90's, then attached the prefilter, then a hose to the pump. i have a checkvalve to put in but have to reconfigure things to make it fit.

Was told most of the pumps I'm looking at need a -10 from the tank to the pump-my sump only has -8 outlets. Is there a fitting that goes from -8 to -10 or am I going to have to have the sump modified w/ -10 outlets. Just found this out.

if you got a reducer that would negate the purpose of having a -10 feed. i would plug the existing outlet and have one welded in that is a -10... unless you got plastic then you'll have to get one with a washer or something. i'm in the same boat, i thought about putting in a fuel cell but most come with -8 and mine is mostly a street car, i'd hate to run a fuel cell if i can get around it.

DAVE-might it be better to weld in a plate to run the fuel line behind as it passes the bellhousing? that would be alot of extra line to run on the outside of the sfc's not to mention you open the risk of a ruptured line if your hit in the side or something like that. i guess through the sfc would be ideal wouldin't it.

that will work, look at the rules so the plate is thick enough

Yeah that's what I thought. Thanks guys. What's a good filter to run with the A2000 pump?
