does anyone know where its at on a 2002 ford explorer?

i went and got my moms oil changed for her and she wanted the fuel filter changed cause it hasnt been starting strong and it has a ton of miles on it and has never been changed and the guys at the oil change place said they couldnt find the damn thing.

IIRC, it is above some plastic shields right in front of the fuel tank

On my 01 sprot trac its on the drivers side frame rail, between the tranny and frame.

Yes it's right in front of the tank and must pull cover to see it and get to it
