fuel cell/sender question

i orderd a cell like 2 years ago for my s10 (4.3) and it came with a sender not sure for what....

my questions is how do i get my gauge to work?

do you know what the resistance of the sender is?


most are GM resistance, which are 0-90 ohm, which is 0 ohm full, 90 ohm empty

the black lead would get grounded, and the red lead would be connected to the sender wire from the gauge

yell if you need help wiring it up, I am up that way often





who did the air suspension work, you?
 
well i have the wiring diagram from the truck and it shows a pink wire for the gauge when i hook it to the unit it still does nothing.. do i have to ground the orignal "black" wire from the old sender an also ground 1 side of the sender in the cell??

and i did it all

one wire off the sender will need to be grounded to the frame, and the one wire from the gauge goes to the other terminal on the sender

if the gauge works backwards, swap the wires at the sender



want to do a Blazer Xtreme?:smokin: not laying frame like yours though

see im lost ive tried this the diagram shows a grey wire going from the sender to the under the hood fuse box for fuel prime... than the pink goes into the computer...would u like me to email u the diagrams an u can figire it out!!


and ive done a few blazers... i have one in my garage right now matter of fact :) and its layin body hehe

oh, does it have a internal fuel pump?

ok, I just checked a diagram

did you order it for a 2002 s-10?

looks like they went to a 250(full)-40(empty) ohm sender

if you did, purple wire to one side, black/white stripe wire to the other


the grey wire you mentioned sounds like the fuel pump power wire
 
ok ill have to try that combo next im out in the garage..

and i didnt order it got the truck i just ordered a cell an it came with the unit

ok, if you want to check, take an ohm meter and see what it reads across those terminals

if there fuel in it?
