Fuel Cell & Battery Box

How does that explain why you called everyone with a cutoff switch a tool bag??? That was my question.. If your so concerned with this why not write NHRA/IHRA about it! Tell ya what I have a few switches in stock in my shop and a ton of cable bring your truck and I'll hook it up for free, cause if everyone who runs a cutoff switch is a tool bag I'd hate to see one go without a switch!!

Once again you and several others missed my point ENTIRELY. Lets just drop this. Yes I agree with cut offs, NO I dont like them on my vehicle. I just think there could be some better safety measures besides these.

It MUST be everyone else , it COULDNT be YOU .

IF you slow down and read the whole post its quite clear what I was saying. When you have a problem, turn the power off from inside the vehicle ASAP instead of waiting for some track clown to come shut off the power.

And if you roll and are knocked out ? And the fuel pump is still going to town , with the engine still running. Fire starts and they click the switch off and the fire goes out.

Would the track workers be clowns THEN ?

That's not always an option for you after you've taken a hard hit and your
lights are out, hence the rule for external cut-offs.
I know I've bonked my melon on my roll bar once or twice and it didn't feel too nice. An 80-120 mph hit must feel REAL BAD, but only for a second.

If you trying to annoy me its not working. I was reffering to having a problem off the line or mid-half-full track, not crashing and hitting the wall.

After a bad crash, (re-stating myself) the cut-off probably wont be intack or even visible.

Many drivers lives have been saved by this simple and effective safety
device. Joe, you're too stubborn to see the obvious sometimes.

I agree with cut offs for track cars. Mitz81 hangs out on woodward a lot and has a 2nd gen camaro and street cruises primairly. Maybe he should have clarified. I thought he was reffering to putting a cut off and fuel cell in his street car, THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT the whole time, a 13 or 12 sec. STREET car. Not a race/street car with e/t streets and a barley pump gas motor.

Ok.. now not all street pump gas cars run 12's and 13's.. I know of several pump gas motor cars that are driven almost as a DD in the summer and they run WAY WAY better than a 12 sec pass..

And to prove that point even further.. I be sure to let you come take a ride in my "street" car on pump gas when its done so you can find out first hand..
