in all honestly that one dude on here helped me when i was having the same trouble as you... Username was something with a De.. Da.
 
One of the tech guys showed me a trick to reboot the modem faster. You have to power it off and break the connection (unscrew the coax). I have never had to reboot since he showed me that. FWIW, mines drops out almost daily too.

The last time I checked they weren't available here. I might have just reached another dumb fuck over there too who didn't know his damn job.
 
mine did that when i was at school in ohio. damn did that drive me nuts. (short trip :laugh:) but the guy who installed it said if it keeps fucking up they would have had to end up replacing the line from where it came into the apartment to the outside line or pole. somethin like that. maybe its a problem with your wiring :dontknow:
 
Charter isn't much better, we have gone weeks without internet because they had a bad line. We would call and they would send someone out and they would say "you have a bad line, there is nothing we can do". WTF?
Finally, after a year of shitty service and hit and miss internet, they showed up for a couple hours and changed the line, now everything works. Thanks for making me wait almost 2 years for a 2 hour job.
