The Yamaha NS-10M is the standard by which most other studio monitors are measured against. They have a ruler flat frequency response from 60Hz all the way out to 20KHz, and a very excellent mid-range. The NS-10Ms are for use in a near-field environment (less than 12ft away) and really excel in a smaller room, studio, or as a high end computer speaker system. The general consensus of these monitors, if it sounds good on them, itll sound good on anything, from cars and home hifi all the way to iPods. This particular pair was purchased from Pointe Electronics in Grosse Pointe Woods in 1984, and for their age, are in excellent condition. The white woofer cones have no smoke residue, no dents or chips on the cabinets, grill cloth looks near new, and the speaker terminals are free of any dirt or defects. I would conservatively rate them an 8/10 on appearance, and 10/10 on functionality. These havent been made in over 10 years, but are a staple in recording studios and audio workstations around the world. I will post pics later on. Looking for $700 OBO. Original box included.
