6.8 V-10...The smallest trailer I ever pulled was 9000lbs.....MY wifes windstar will pull that wimpy 5000lb trailer and beat you In a drag race.
Load that econobox up with your 5000lb trailer and I will still drag you down the road...Up hill...In park....With the emergencery brake on !
You cant Fuck with the largest Production SUV ever built !
 
Any intrest in a 2003 sonoma? 4cyl auto 2wd. Body is not perfect but no rust, Some dents. 89k on the clock currently.

I would consider a truck if it had a real backseat(to put a kid seat in), not just a front bench, or the sideways jump seats in back.
