I bought the motor and trans about a year 1/2 ago, motor has been not run or trans in a while, but both were running when they came out of a 71 stang that was damaged.

That means it's a 1974 block. The strongest 351w blocks are 69-74. It will take good power.

not all tru on the strong thing.........74 was a break year mid 74 the blocks changed and the web got thin and stayed that way after mid 74....d4 blocks are the change over and the only way to tell is pull the pan.
