Hey is it worth it to have my alternator rebuilt vs. purchasing a new unit?
Also is there a way to upgrade to higher output alternator with out spending a ton of cash? I knew of a guy who used a ford tarus alternator on his fox body mustang and it worked great and I believe it produced 110 amps vs the stock unit that produces 75 amps? Anyone else try this?
Any help would be greatly Appreciated :)
 
I used to run one of those Powermaster 2 wire alternators....It was great, never lost voltage, I recommend it. Gets ya up arond 110 I believe.
 
I think some of the later model Mustang alternators like the sn95 94-95 alternators will fit the bracket. they produce around 125a IIRC.
