Well I bought a damn nice reef blue 93 for a good price in NYC. Drove it back home, and the conversion starts in a few weeks. I am tearing the interior, powertrain, electrical, etc out of the 89 and putting it into the 93. Here is a few pics of the new car:

You are going to need a 93 specific harness. The rest is easy. Pm me if you have any questions, need any help or parts (we have a few). Its mostly just alot of parts swapping.

Nice clean start. Looks like its going to be a nice ride when its done.

X2 You will need a (I believe) a 91 1/2-93 1 plug engine harness and to get the tach to work you will need a V8 IP. If you go automatic you will need the V8 shifter. I have done 2 or 3 of these V8 engine swaps. If you have questions I am also available. I am In Westland,Mi

I'll be tearing all the wiring, computer, etc out of the 89, including the streering shaft etc so I dont have to deal with any kind of year change issues and airbag issues. I also want my tilt steering wheel. lol

I'll also be using the T-5 out of current 89, cause that sucker is almost bullet proof.

Nice car, I love the color.

What's the 89 look like?

The 89 is in decent shape. It has some rust rot on the passenger side, and the driver side is eh. Underbody is a little messed up, so it just wasnt worth my time or money to fix for what I paid for the 93. The chassis was also twisted from running e/t street radials without SFC's for like a year.

I also love the reef blue, and with it being a sunroof car, I love it even more.

nice catch......make sure to keep us updated. gotta love the reef blue....

Thanks much! I'll be getting started tearing the silver one down in a few weeks, so I will keep a nice log on here with what I am doing with pictures. Hopefully I can score a good job this winter and get some team z stuff in there.

that thing is clean good luck with the build

Thanks, its going to be fun as hell. The car has been sitting in a garage for the last 7 years in Bayville, NY (Long Island). Its clean as hell for sitting somewhere where they salt the roads, and there is the salt water ocean right there. It drove home from NY with minimal problems (blew a trans seal, probably dry rotted from sitting for 7 years), and the gas tank to filler neck seal was rotted. Other than that, it was a champ on the mountains.

Just a few more, I started to clean the carpet. I need to get out the big cleaner to do the finishing touches on it. ALso a picture of how good the 1/4 windows are

I can get a couple 1/4 sticks of dynamite. Yea I heard that trip was crazy as hell espically going through Pennsylvania

If you have the time and Imbition you can swap all the wiring and you will be fine. What I would do Is make sure your car runs and drives then remove the electrical crap you dont neer. Your tilt column should work fine also. Good luck & keep lots of pics coming.
