Fox mustang fuel tank baffle removal

Has anyone done this? Upon removal of my tank and draining it I found that it was flopping around in the tank. It appears that Ford solders these in place, what a joke. I was thinking that I could somehow cut it out with some snips. Im putting a sump in the tank and removing the factory hanger/pump in favor of a Aeromotive return hat. I know that the baffle is going to be pointless at that point but I'm not so sure I will be able to get that sucker out. Anyone successfully done it?
 
Apparently thats bad lol. It can starve the pump and burn up your motor. I got mine out, and it wasn't fun. Cut a section out where my sump is going
 
Yeah, you wouldnt remove yours unless you were putting a sump in. I'd put a tank in it dude. Mine wasnt like that when I did the pump a few years ago. Replace the tank
