Looking for some hints on converting my new 87 GT conv. to 5 lug. Im new to the ford/mustang and i know with camaros there are better parts to use than others and im looking for that kind of low down.

What year of parts do i need and off of what models.

well you can go the cheap way and get ranger drums for the rear and mustangsunlimited.com sells the rotors and hubs for the front for like 200 for the pair. Now if you want to spend a little more you can use sn-95 brakes but you have to use the axles for a sn-95, even better you can get the cobra brakes but you have to run a 17" wheels or you need a spacer, all depends what you want to spend and have the car do.

Did the swap on the front of my 82. Can use the Lincoln mark7 rotors and v8 splindles (87-93). Get the calipers/pads from a v8 stang (87-93).

cheap front 85-92 Lincoln Mark VII rotors and the correct bearings and your done

better way - 94/95 front spindles, rotor, calipers (96-98 spindles will work but will push the wheels out approx 8mm on each side)

1 pair of drivers side Ranger/Bronco II or pass side Aerostar rear axels and drums.

If you go with the Ranger/Bronco II/Aerostar stuff, go with the 9" Brakes

Best thing to do is figure out what kind of rims you want to use and then go from there to decide which 5 lug stuff is best for you. You can also use an 8.8 disc brake rear end from a Mustang SVO/Lincoln Mark VII but it is a little wider than your 8.8 in your Mustang

Ya thats what i was thinking but in jegs.com i notice that you can get a rear cobra conversion for not too much. and really would like to run a biger aftermarket biger rotor allong with dual piston setup. is the 94/95 set up a dual piston setup.

You actually can run a newer caliper (dual piston) off like a 2000 Mustang.
