Im sure its been asked before but here i go , i recently changed my mother in laws motor out of her 94 gt , pulled 5.0ho and replaced with 5.0 out of an 88 fox, now i asked a buddy of mine about the firing order difference cause i know it differs from ho to stock 5.0, he told me makes no difference because its a sbf still ,i did swap everything from 1 motor to other , any help would be great thanks Rob.

82~84 Mustang 5.0's have a windsor cam (and firing order) and are dubbed an H.O. They however dont have a roller cam In them....Roller cams were Introduced In late 84 for the 85 year model. As long as your 88 engine Is out of a mustang It shoukd work with the 351Windsor/5.0 H.O. firing order. Is the 88 engine you Installed a true H.O. ?

nothing is concrete about motor i pulled out of 88 with cobra intake on it , any other marks that indicates that it is a H.O on block?thanks rob.

The firing order that the '94 has would be the same as the motor pulled out of the '88. Assuming stock for stock.

ok got timing down now i am having problem with no vacuum or very little making idle surge , any ideas? Rob

nm think i located the problem, upper intake was bolted down but valve cover on passenger side was alittle to tall for intake , leaving it unsealed for a good portion .thanks for help all . Rob

i went back through what i put on over last few days ending up being upper intake not sealing cause valve cover was holding it up , there for no vacuum throwing off my idle etc picking up a spacer to deal with it .
