Ford guys need help: oil pan question and a few others

First off, here's my situation. I'm putting a SBF in a 49' ford. My block is a 65 289 block, heads are late model 5.0. With my set-up I have to run a rear sump pan in order to clear the crossmember. I was told to use a fox body double hump pan. I got one that seems to work. Here's the problem. I bought a pick up tube the other day and put it on. After that the pan doesn't fit back on. The screen hangs down too low. Are there differences between the double hump pans. I think I just read that they were different from 81-90 and 91-94. I'm getting kind of pissed beacuse this is the third thing that has been wrong. I should have prepared myself better for having issues with different year parts.

Also, do later model blocks have the dipstick in the block? If that's the case then I need to add a dipstick provision on the pan beacuse my 65 289 block has the dipstick hole in the timing cover that only works with a front sump I think. Thanks

Alright I think I may have figured it out, but if anyone can verify my findings it would be much appreciated.

I bought a oil pick up tube and screen for a 1990 double sump pan. I didn't know that they switched pans in august of 1990. I must have the wrong pick up tube. I didn't know there was a difference so I must have a later 90 to 93 pan.

Can anyone tell me if the pick up tube for a later pan 91-93 is more shallow than the earlier ones. Or if you can tell if the 83-90 pans are a little depper than the 90-93 pans.

i belive the oil pan for 83-93 fox is the same.
an old block and new pan thats a problem.
some one has to sell a pan with a dipstick in it.
the oil pan will have to be after market, unless u can fab the dipstick into the pan.
