Ford 9 inch housing question(s)

Converting my Jeep to a 9 inch rear axle.

Both the pavement and the 4 wheel drive markets offer plenty of choices for aftermarket housings.

Confused as to what might be the better way to go.

Use an aftermarket Moser, Strange, SpiderTrax or Diamond housing

Or

A Ford housing that has been converted to 3.250 x .250 wall chromo axle tubes and internaly braced.

In any case (aftermarket or Ford) the housing will have a top truss and if room allows, a back truss.

Comments/opinions ?

Thanks !!

there is a company that sells primarily 4+4 & jeep parts, including jeep housings ready to install....i can picture their catalog but forget their name...it slips me at the moment.
i have installed some of their 8.8 f axle stuff. their products (referring to housings) looked descent.
either strange or moser on the axles...but be aware strange uses a different pitch on their axles than anyone else, make sure you use a spool or posi that matched the spline.

Thanks for the insight.
Currie`s Hi Pin 9 inch is a little different then the TrueHi9 I am going to use. Both use the same 9 inch housing. Currie approachs the Hi Pin design a little different. While the Currie product is indeed a good unit it is proven not to be as strong T9. Even the Currie web site talks of it`s limitations.

If only I could get a MW, Strange, Moser center pig and flip it upside down.........

At this point the housing is where I need to focus. Modified stock or aftermarket.

THANKS !

that pig in the picture has a reverse cut 9" gear.
i have worked on a few reverse cut 8.8 currie units that were impressive. but the one in your photo looks better
