first off this is jay posting on the shop computer....
I just want to apologize to the man who posted up a couple months back about his fron wheels breaking apart at the center and going on about how poorly he was dealt with by champion.....
up until a month ago i honestly could'nt concieve that they would'nt have dealt with him in a professional manner, but after this situation we had with them i can understand his problems with them and how they choose to deal with him...
with that being said I normally would'nt come on here and post anything about company but i feel its needed...
my father deals with plenty of companies on a daily basis and never has and issue... he is a straight to the point kind of guy and when there is an issue that needs to be addressed, he does so....
we bought 2 complete sets of wheels from champion a month and a half ago and when they arrive the rim shells had imperfections in them, it was the first time we recieved wheels from them with any type of belmish... they were called about it and told we could'nt give these to our customers even though the blems were on the inner rim shell(backside of wheel), they could be looked at and thought to be a crack in the shell by the customer...

in this last pic you can also see the anodizing is worn off from the polishing process in various spots(again first time we got a wheel from them like this)![]()
when my father called he explained that even though we knew the marks were there from the rim shell halfs being welded together, we felt that they should either send them back to the polisher so he could do the job right or send us another set and we would return these.... now after a bit of back and forth bickering with kady or katy( i spoke with her once so i dont know which it is) my father got her to agree to take back 1 set of rears and we got the customer to take his set since he said he was'nt concerned with it and didnt want to wait for the back and forth shipping.... intially she wanted us to pay to ship them back, but then said fine to them sending us a call tag...
now mind you this went back and forth for about a week and half.... she was rude on the phone with my father numerous times when he said he would send pictures of the damage at one point on the phone she started to stutter and he told her to calm down cause she was studdering and she took offense to this since she had a stuttering issue(she had never stuttered on the phone with him before) she also told him if our customer doesnt wants to see little imperfections (improperly polished rim shell welds)that they should go buy some higher priced wheels....
the only other time before this that he has called them was to tell them ther machining process was off and the wheels were'nt coming thru with a large enough wheel stud hole to fit over 5/8's studs when we were ordering them with that option.... which at the time went over fine and was no big deal....
now in the conversation i just had with her , i asked her what was up and if we were still a dealer since she doesnt return phone calls...
her response was that my father is very rude and has been nothing but a problem since becoming a dealer...then proceeded to tell me the things that he said to her during there recent phone calls and him having issues with there wheels as being the reasons why she no longer wants to sell to us....
I was in the office with him during every conversation and if she took stuff out of context then thats a shame for her... he didnt say anything that was out of line to this woman even after she started going on a rant on the phone with him....
so all in all... champion was a great company to deal with up until there customers service got tested... it failed badly.... good luck to anyone who is a dealer for them or chooses to buy there product, hopefully you never have an issue with there product or service like we did..... to be honest this was blown way out of proportion by kady/katy and went way past where it needed to go.... but the damage is done on both sides and there no going back now...
