ok so after pulling my damn near destroyed w/p off and putting the new one on, the engine still heats up rather quickly (i was up to 225* after a mile) and I'm wondering if its air in the system. Alex (slo240sx) said i needed to "burp" it but i have no idea where the bleeder valve is on this car. pics would be VERY helpful
 
Make sure the car is cool, remove the radiator cap, run the car and keep an eye on the temp gauge. You should see the bubbles coming outta the top. When you stop seeing bubbles, reinstall the cap.
 
Did you get the correct water pump ? Serpentine small block chevys run backwards compared to v belt chevys .
