I have up for sale or trade for a daily driver, my 86 mustang lx. The car has gone through a complete back half installation, running a shortened ford 9 inch with strange axles with 7/16 studs, spooled 5.90 rear gear. The rear end is held in place by a 3 link setup, with adj. rod ends and 2 adj coil overs, and wheelie bars. The rear of the car has a charging post though the bumper, and a kill switch, fuel cell located central of the chassis small 10 gall plastic cell with breathers routed out of the car, drained by a holly pump filter combo, with 6an fittings in not sure though. The battery is located just back of the rear pass wheel. The car currently has a 8pt cage, with g force harnesses.
THE BAD-- the car has some rust forming around the front windshield and around the latch for the hatch. i would say the car is 95 percent solid, would need a little tlc to make it a real clean looking drag car. The car was towed off the core support and its kinda beat up, its in tack but bent, i will include a brand new core support with the car for you to install. The wiring on the car could use a good going though. there is a moroso switch panel and fuse block in the car and it is wired but, it could be done cleaner.
INCLUDED-- i have 2 302 blocks one stock 90s cobra roller motor with stock lower intake and heads on it. A brand new bosch starter, and c6 ford bell housing. I also have the c6 that seems to be in perfect running condition. couple of auto meter gauges, and 5 inch tach, pro shifter with reverse lock out and quick releases
Its time to sell it, i have not worked on it since i bought it, i have no money to blow on it, im really looking for 5800 obo, or a clean good running low mileage daily driver. for anyone who knows how much work it is to cage and back half a drag car. this is kinda steal. previous owner said the car ran 9.2 sbf powered on the bottle with the c6.
