I drove by the Sears shopping center (Southfield/Dix) and they were setting up what looked to be a road course with a ton of cones in the area where they have the car shows on Fridays. I read the flags on the cones and it said Focus test drive (at least I think it was Focus, could have been a different one but pretty sure it was Focus)
Not sure its for the public, I didnt stop.
Just put it out there if someone else wants to check it out

i drove one at blackwell in plymouth it was a fundraiser for my sons football program
for each person we got to come test drive one the football team got $5 bucks

nice car... killer stereo in it ... 5 speed automatic was kinda cool

would I pay 26 grand for a 2012 focus?????

NO FUCKING WAY!!!

no wonder people are not buying cars

am I wrong?
(I'm ready to start going south buying a non rusted older car for say a $1500.00 and spending $5000.00 having it redone)

Congrats on being VERY misinformed!

1. It's a 6 speed automatic transmission

2. People are buying car, maybe not at Blackwell with the 150 cars in stock, but we rocking! The past 90 days has been great for us. The US car makers were all up for July. Not huge gains, but they were all up. The Japanese weren't, but that could be due to lack of supply (earthquake, tidal wave)

3. Start heading South to buy those $1500 cars that you dump $5000 into, let me know how that works out for ya!

The Ecoboost 4 banger will be available in the Focus ST and the Fiesta ST later this year or early next year.

The Focus and Fiesta won't have the same engine though. It's "rumored" there will be a 6 speed manual Focus ST.
