ANYONE HAVE a snap ring that holds the sealed Bearing in place on the REAR DRUM of a 2001 Focus?

I just replaced last night the new bearings, drums, pads, springs, etc.. on his 2001 Focus because the one bearing was toasted. So when the bearing decingrated (went POOF) it fucked up the SNAP Ring in the process. So I bought all new crap as it needed to be done anyhow.

So anyone have an old drum with this ring still in it? I have the tool to pull it out? I called the dealer and they ONLY sell it with the bearings which I already have new ones (not from dealer), but for whatever reason the ones I got from "Best Auto" in Shelby dont come with the rings. I ONLY need 1...

Anyhelp would be great!:wink:

Had you called a certain Ford dealer employee first you would have known :D I'll check with my tech for you though

It's always very nice when Trunk DHL's stuff to me. (window switch pills, monster truck show passes, Ford GT posters, Mustang fender emblem for a previous colleague) Oh how I hate the drive to Ann Arbor. :lol: (front cobra strut, 2003 Cobra headlights)

You were looking for "YOU'RE" not "YOUR."

And how about a comma after the word, "welcome," for good measure? :D Perhaps even a period after the word "themselves," if you want to get crazy. :lol:

btw
the center nut on the wheel bearing isn't supposed to be removed for brake service. Your supposed to remove the 4 bolts on the rear to get the drum off
 
True, but the reason we had everything off was for the bearing that went POOF in the 1st place. Brakes were just done at this time due to a "Why not while we are here"
 
alot of times the bearing goes just after the brakes are done.
The big issue with that packing nut is it can and will take the threads off the spindle if removed with an impact
