fitness people- who is still making progress?

down 15 pounds this month. That's just from cutting out pop and watching my portions. Now that my loss is starting to plateau, I'm going to focus on eating cleaner and doing cardio. My goal is to be at 190 - 200 by my birthday next year. I was 240 and am 6'3".

228# @ 15% bodyfat, dropped 54 cholesterol points without meds. All cholesterol levels are healthy. Fitness goals for the next year are bodyfat in the 11s, bench 2 plates, squat 3, dead 4 for reps.

I was doing pretty good gaining strength then fractured both of my hands "setting a fellow Marine strait" lol...

pushing exercises kill my hands, however pull exercises are still good so Ive been doing lighter weight for the last couple weeks.

Got my 3-mile run time back down to 20:45 which isnt too bad considering Im 5'7" and 190 lbs.

I will say, trying to keep muscle/gain strength and lose fat is tough to do at the same time, especially since I have to keep my neck at 17+ inches for getting tapped for random/bi-annual weigh-ins.

Since March I've lost right around 20 lbs with running and a slight diet change. Saturday I had entered a 5K run but tweaked my hamstring so I entered the 5K walk instead. My last mile was 11:09, but now my glutes hurt. I never realized how different the muscles were from running to walking.

I normally switch up running/sprints/ and walking (on the treadmill) anywhere from 5-15% grade at 4 MPH for 30-60 minutes... it will make you pretty tired very fast if your muscles arent up to the task. I have also been super setting calf raises in between 1/2 of my leg workouts. I dont normally do them with squats on heavy days since shaky calves and 400+ pounds is a terrible combo.
