Fish Tacos

I am now obsessed as well. Not sure about the East side, but Deadwood Bar & Grill in Northville has some of the best I have found.

I make them at home with talapia. It you want to go the easy route,

Talapia, crusted with breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and a bit of garlic. Season with sea salt and cracked pepper. Strain some coleslaw and throw it on top (too watery and it turns the taco to mush). Splash of fresh squeezed lime juice and then add a little hot sauce. Yum.

Love them With slaw but I always see them with lettuce instead of cabbage around here. I havent had good ones anywhere but Gaslight in Chicago.

Is there a Del Taco down there now? I always visit one in Vegas, good food so far for me. NEver tried their Fish Tacos though.

Pretty sure El'Charro's has Fish Tacos... There is one in Fraser on 14 mi, One in Troy now, Saint Clair Shores, and on at 21mi in Macomb

It's closer that the one in Fenton :)

I was disappointed by the ones at Rojo though. Just not enough flavor. They do have a crazy breaded jumbo shrimp dish with cheese/lobster sauce that is nuts. :D

Believe it or not... Del Taco's aren't bad.
x2..
I make fish tacos once a week.. I use any kind of white, beer battered fish with home made guacamole, roasted salsa, onions, Mexican cheese, on a couple corn tortilla.

I ate the one in scs twice and I got sick both times :puke:

I've only had them from 3 places, best one was Zumba Mexican on Main St & 11 mile in Royal Oak.
Del Taco's are pretty good for a fast food place, they give you a lime to squeeze on it.
Long John Silvers has one (baja fish taco) it's pretty bad.

I think I'm gonna yet it with that tilapia from Sams club that's already flavored and seasoned, I tried there salmon and it was awesome.
