i did it on my own just reading online, ill redo it next winter to fix the defects but overall dident come out to bad. i need to learn how to spray the clear better cuz it orange peeled some places.

i will alway have a bike, the adrenaline rush is to good. that and when i see a car full of girls and im riding wheelies thats always a plus haha

Wow, you started with 800?

1200 should be plenty and a lot less work to get the scratches out, of course depending on how much you need to knock down.

Its all about the practice. The more you do it the better you should get.

With 6 coats of clear you have PLENTY of room to wetsand, lol
Negative ghost rider, it all depends how wet it was sprayed and how even the over lap was. 6 coats of clear that was sprayed dry and possibly uneven could be way below the proper film build to wet sand and polish, 6 coats medium wet you will be ok. IMO, if you want it to look better with more gloss, take some 1000 grit and wet sand the pieces just knocking down the orange peel (Or use a gray scotch pad), re-clear everything

I agree, I was assuming a very mild tack on the previous coat
