First HDR attempt

AutoEuphoria

Captain Slow
Just trying out the new camera and some software I got.

This one was made to look a little more realistic. 3 shots used (+2, 0, -2 EV):

These were with a little more toying around with the settings...again, 3 exposures (+2, 0, -2 EV).

I need to get a better tripod so that I can take more than just the 3 shots with no movement of the camera. I tried taking 5 shots for each picture by setting up the AEB for -1, 0, +1 for one shot and -2,0,+2 for the next, but the camera moved slightly between shots, so I wasn't able to merge all 5 shots without it being blurry or taking a lot of time aligning them manually.

Anyway, just trying things out...nothing great, but it's a start!

nice shots id love to get into photography and HDR shots always look great. i just dont have the bank for two hobbies like this :(

+1 for not going postal with the editing and making HDR's look like poo.

My suggestion would be to use a different bracket set in snow. It's blinding white light. Do -4/-2/0 in the snow if your camera will allow. White cars in white snow is a bitch.

yup yup. snow is going to blow out all over your photo. the HARDEST part when trying to HDR something in the snow, is your shadows/darks. IE, look at the front grille. its noisy as fawk. you just have to practice practice practice. like little2v said, you will learn to adjust your exposures accordingly. try doing like -3,-2, +1. or even -3, -2, 0. i dont use AEB myself. infact, i dont know how to use it. but my tripod is bulletproof, so i do it all manually.

good start though.

Here are some shots from today. I used the tips given to me from the first set, and hopefully these are a little better than the last.

Here's the same shot as above, only just a regular snapshot at 0EV

And here's one non-car related that I think turned out pretty well:
