Finished Basement Pics

I'm currently putting down the wrenches and picking up the hammer and nails.
The wife and I got a great deal on the house of dreams, but the basement was unfinished. So my new project is to completely finish the basement before we have kids. I would really appreciate any finished basement pics for ideas and other tips. Ceiling pics, carpet or other flooring ideas, and painting ideas etc.
Thanks:icon_lol:

Thanks Mark
My goal is to finish it by the end of the year if all the money is in the right place. :) I will let you know fo sho when it's all complete.

Two offices, one main entertainment room, one full bath, and a large storage area. I'm hoping to see some really cool ceiling photos and flooring choices.

You can save alot money by spraying the ceiling(everyting) flat black and everything just kinda goes away..We did it at my moms house and it comes out kickass..Add some can lights after and it looks great....

yes do it first before you do anything else so you dont get over spray on stuff, also i have seen lattice put on there and it turned out awesome. i recently did my basement i put pics up on here somehwere if you want to do a search. im gonna do a drop ceiling in the springtime when i finish the bathroom in the basement.

It does look badass like that. It really sets of the lights.

I have heard of the flat black idea and would really like to see some pics of basements that wen that route.
I was really looking into doing a drop ceiling but i was hoping to find a alternative place to home depot or lowes.

I've always wanted to do the black in the ceiling, but leaving all the pipes/plumbing alone, something about copper pipes that contrast on the black looks good

finished mine about 5yrs ago:

2hipsi Nice Columns :)
fat349 I really like the drop ceiling. did you get these tiles at home depot?
I bought a ranch with a full basement, total sf ft is 1660.
200 would be used for storage and the rest would be for rec. use and space for the inlaws LOL.

Ours is just a showroom for all our stuff. Simple carpet and drop ceiling, the way it was when we moved in. Haven't got any ideas to do it up more so I'm leaving it until inspiration strikes.

Some of the car/Mustang stuff is out in the garage though since I ran out of room. Sorry about the Pens memorabilia ;) The TV wall has more Wings stuff around it now, these were taken while we were putting up everything. The rest of the basement has a couple large bookcases holding all her books, and her desk area.

I'd like to get a bubble hockey arcade game and paint the players up like our teams, but can't see us using it all too much to justify the cost.

I just bought about 30 there to build a workshop in the garage. They had way too many garbage boards at the one I went to, it took a while to pick 'em.

I just did this on Friday actually. I opted to spray the can lights also. Just put the plugs in and sprayed the whole can. Even the trim ring. It came out awesome. The only thing is the overspray. Johnquick is exactly right.......do the ceiling first. I have to go back and paint over the overspray now. Good thing it's only primer.

I would highly reccommend spraying the ceiling. It looks badass!!!
