Finally got the truck I have been searching for!

what did you do to fix the sagging front end on the bronco?

1 inch coil spacers.
The 351 has no problem handling the 33s. I mostly want to do gears for performance on the trails and in the mud.
I'll try and get some under hood shots of the 351. It's nothin special, but it's pretty clean.

Thanks wikdsvt!

I know that's why I have to take care of this one to prevent that from happening. I wash it twice a week and undercoated it before winter. But they say the best way to prevent rust is to put a lift on it to keep it away from the conditions lol.

My stepdad had a 96 Eddie Bauer Bronco with the 351. It was green/tan with tan interior. He traded it in for a FJ Cruiser. :ugh2:

It had flowmasters on it, and sounded pretyy ballsy but was pretty pokey.

They are cool trucks, but IMO a 2 door SUV kills alot of utility.

I agree that 4 doors are more practicle if you have kids. However nothing beats the short wheel base of a 2 door Bronco for the tight trails. Plus I still fit 4 people in the back seat for the trips up north.

Thats true, didnt think of the short wheelbase for offroading. I know they are pretty bad for towing, though.

It's too bad that most of the Bronco's out there are in rough shape. A buddy of mine in High School had one, sure was sweet.

Did you buy the Dayco one's or a set they sell on ebay?

FYI, I'm out in Denver right now on a work trip and I have seen so many of that vintage Bronco's and F-Series trucks out here that still look brand new. So many crew cab's with huge lifts. I swear the next time work sends me out here i'm gonna drive my truck and come back with a crap load of rust free parts and make a killing selling them in Michigan. It's like Colorado is the land rust forgot.

cool ride.....i love those old broncos. its really getting hard to find a clean one for a reasonable price. nice grab!!

My old man had a 1978 with a 351M. It looked just like this truck. I loved that truck, if I every have too much money I'm going to restore one of these for a toy.

If your asking about the spacers, I got them from Bronco Graveyard in Brighton. I used four 1/4" steel spacers. 2 hex and 2 round. Usually used to offset a plow or heavy winch.

That's one clean diesel. I'm unsure of this, but I think it's because they don't use salt on the roads of Colorado. Just like in Seattle, a lot of clean Broncos there. You probably could make a killing on rust free tailgates if you brought some back to Michigan.

The 78-79 are my favorite model and restoring one be a dream of mine as well. Nothing like a solid front axle and a 9 inch rear from the factory.
