Finally getting at it! My Buick Project.

I finally welded the filler cap and drain plug into the 9". Per the recommendation of a couple board members, I put the drain on the bottom and welded a piece of pipe around it for protection.

Good deal Josh! Glad to see your working on it. I know your garage was packed when I was there a few weeks ago.

Thanks man. It's like a totally different space. I packed that gang box full of stuff, threw out some junk, re-arranged the bench, toolbox, and compressor, sorted through a bunch of my nuts/bolts/metal, and even got the shop vac out and got rid of some dust and dirt

Still crowded, but I can do some work in there now!

Who welded it in for you? That looks sick.

Yes the garage space from a few weeks ago and now, it looks like a totally different place.

My normal welder drove his car off a cliff and died, so I did it. Just closed my eyes and pointed the torch, I must have gotten lucky!

OK...so three years later...

it's going to Ice Nine at the end of this week. Keith and his crew are gonna finish it up for me. STOKED.

4 wheel disk, just use an aftermarket adjustable prop valve

hoses and strait forward, lines are as well

For sure on the aftermarket adjustable proportioning valve. Cheaper than any old factory part. You know it hasn't been sitting on a shelf in some damp warehouse for 30 years (i've seen problems with new factory type ones not working, probalby because of that), and it's adjustable, so that makes it better, right? But seriously, just get a cheap adjustable one.

I totally missed that this was 3 years old until after I posted.

We should lock in a grudge race between this and the Torino, maybe that would motivate us both?

I don't have to worry about my motivation now, Keith is coming to grab it this weekend and they are taking over!

But YES! Grudge race. Heavyweight division.

Since you're going to have room in the garage, want to buy a taken-apart '67 suicide door Lincoln??

It'll be nice to some progress on your boat!
