I fabbed this up as a result of not being able to buy a nice TQ arm. the mounting bracket is still a bit rough i haven't had a chance to throw it on the rotary table and whack a nice radious into it yet. But here it is 90% of the way done. Big thanx to Gpowrie on the Design/Fabrication help.

Enjoy.

Edit:
I have 3 holes to choose from for my instant center adjustment.

Looks kinda short. What consists of a nice torque arm. 1.27 60ft on a BMR seemed nice to me.

Can you adjust the instant center hieght and location fore and aft on a BMR ?

That one ??? This one is very easy to adjust hence why its got all the rod ends on it. Not knocking the BMR peice its a proven performer. This TQ arm is roughly the same length but can be lengthened and shortened plus minus 2 inchs for instance center and the Hieght of the IC can be minupuated as well. Personally i have considered that a long held unadressed issue with off the shelf TQ arms. That and this one is all Chromoly.

Never had to.

I am trying to hook up around 1000ft lbs of tq at say 4000rpm with a 6spd and a 3.55 rear gear. I am a little bit traction challenged. I need every bit of adjustment i can get.

Trust Me i would love to stick an automatic in it but the owner just won't budge on the issue.

Someone is already producing and selling that piece exacly like that except a few more ajustment points that your so called design.. I can't remember who but I'll find it and post a link. A few guys have already bought them but yet to hear any results

I hear ya...wait til he gets beat by an auto car with half the hp and then wises up! Better make the th400/powerglide mounts now so it'll be a quick swap when he changes his mind after his first couple trips to the track!

I have a feeling a 6l90e or a 4l80e might be in the future but the guy just doesn't care about track times.

Nothing is wrong with it from the looks of it other then maybe lacking a little strength, but there's nothing you can do when wanting that much adjustment. Testing it will be the tell all of everything. Looking forward to hearing how well they work.
