Finally...a gun owner

I want a lever gun!

They're awesome. I get a lot of cowboy jokes from people.

Did some messing around with the AK. Picked up a new grip, adjustable stock and quad rails. Had some issues with the quad rails though. I emailed Leaper's about it and hopefully they send me the spacer I need or I will just ship it back for a refund. That rail presses down on that gas tube, f'ing with the carrier. So I swapped out the UTG for my wood guards again. I like the wood better to be honest. But the wood stock is short for me. Feels like I'm sitting too close to the gun when I'm aiming. The adjustable is a lot nicer. Feels more comfortable.

and with the wood back on the front.

looks good either way, I like the way your wood looks, uhh wait, i mean the stock front grip looks good lol.

should have just bought a ar15 if you were gonna add all that stuff
Adding stuff doesn't make the round cost any more which is the primary reason along with reliability to buy an AK over an AR15 IMHO.

My 5.45 x 39 AK is probably the cheapest center-fire round to shoot and has similar ballistics as the US round.

Differences from last week vs. this week at the range. I'd say it got better. Little high on some of the shots.

I was kidding man I own a ar15 any gun is good in my book each one has perks yours looks good with the black stock and wood foregrip

Actually its private now.

Its always fun to be the guy that shows up at Bald Mountain with an AK isnt it?

Thats a good looking gun, beautiful furniture on it
The RO when we went was a big AK fan. He said that was the only type of rifle he owned. Real cool guy.

Yeah, it's leased from the state I believe. So you have to have a state park pass (they never check though so far this winter) and then they have to follow DNR rules.

There were 2 people there today with AR-15's. One guy had a nice scope on his and he was at the 100 yard range next to me with my Marlin 30-30. Looked like a fun gun to shoot.

Indeed it does.

Put a new scope on the Marlin 30-30. Vortex Diamondback 3x9. Much better then my fixed 4x Bushnell I had on there.

The collection added up fast. Can't wait for spring

Yep, you've got it. You caught BRD. Pretty soon you'll be quoting Ronald Reagan, drinking scotch, and buying AR-15 lowers buy the dozen.

Nova's are a great starter shot gun. Take that sucker out to Island Lakes and wreck some clays.

You might be right.

Yeah, Bald Mountain is a little closer for me. I plan on going out there this spring and do some clay shooting. Then maybe some turkey hunting. We'll see.
