FE powered 1984 gt

it looks like one of your bars is gonna be right where the gas and brake pedal is. your not worried about it getting in the way?
 
yeah the frame is a pre bent kit since we don't have a bender, probaly won't use one again. The frame meets requirements for 8.50 in the 1/4. as far as the pedals the bars really aren't in the way. Using a floor mount manual master cylinder and gas pedal is no big deal plenty room. we've been checking everything as we go my partner is driving he's 6ft 270lbs

With all that work I would put it together to cert at least to 7.50.....might as well at this point.
 
not exactly sure what esle we would have to do to get there, would the funny car cage do it? we plan on taking it on the street here and there not just a strip car. it will have everything to pass a safety inspect by the police. If just the funny car cage would do it then we may go ahead and doit. A question for you guys who run at no et at milan do they check for license as far as driver goes, cause you need one for 9.99 or faster?

no they havent checked in along time. we ran 9s there with no cage or bar at all
 
hopefully it will stay that way for at least this year so we can get the bugs worked out. Have no idea how fast its gonna be

been busy doin everything but workin on the car finally have the body attached to the frame and front suspension is almost together for now.Just trying to find some money to get the four link kit for the rear so she'll roll again.pics coming soon

welds

no they are not stayin was useing a smaller welder, got my big one back and im in the process of redoing should have just waited but I got excited and caused my self more work
