Urachko builds a crazy SBC that makes 770hp on pump gas. That would put a light street car in the low 9s. Here are the details:
Pump Gas Warrior
770 hp Pump Gas 420 SBC
CFE 15 Degree heads
4150 carburetor
93 octane from any gas station.
640 torque, 770 hp, 93 octane, 7500 max rpm, no maintenance valvetrain
That is nuts.
The LS engines do really well also. I have a "cam only" LS engine in my 82 that has been in the low 11s on motor and on pump gas. This is a combo that can be driven anywhere, and gets better mileage than my Cherokee.
Ok next is how fast under 400 cubic inches. I'm just curious, not trying to say we have anything close to being the fastest. Just my thoughts had taken over on how fast could this motor really go.
