whos up for a color tour ?

I was thinking drive up 23/75/23 to Oscoda run across M72 to Traverse City then do the tunnel of trees and run 31/131 down to to Kalamazoo
and back on 94
 
mid october is prime time colors for sure. Tell old lady that you committed to a guided tour of sketchy gearheads around the coast of Michigan. haha

As long as I'm home by 6 on Saturday I'm golden

here is what i have come up with... whos in ?

8 am Meet parking Lot 12 oaks leave 8:30
96-to 23 to Birch Run stop at Tony's for break fast
jump back on 75 to Bay City exit wilder rd. Run M-13 up through to Standish
swing on to US-23 to Oscoda stopping at the Lumberman's Monument http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/hmnf/recarea/?recid=18538

jump on M-72 stop in Grayling at Spikes for lunch http://www.spikes-grayling.com/

jump back on 72 west to Traverse City Cheap hotel find a great dinner crash out ...

get up saturday morning after breakfast Loop M-22 around the Leelanau Peninsula
travel down M-115 through to Cadillac stop for lunch at http://www.burkeswaterfront.com/menu
turning onto US-131 south to Howard City turning east on M-46 over to Alma
turn south on US-127 to to Lansing and Catch 96 east back to Novi

East on 46 to Alma. Checked the wrong dates with the wife. Will check again later. I checked the eighth and ninth DOH!

Oops maybe I shouldn't be the navigator

I'm going to put this on my facebook to see if it can get any traction I'm working afternoons Sunday through Thursday... reason for the Friday/Saturday run an we're swamped so I can't take a vacation day for a Sunday
 
do it all in one day, get up early, go to mackinac see some of that area, and head down to petoskey, grab lunch in the middle of m119, and start heading back home
