Fairbanks converters.....???

Can get 1 new in box for $100 (3500)
Car should run a high 11-low 12

They are a decent converter. If you can pick that one up for 100, you'd be doing alright. 11's / 12's won't hurt it.

I bought 50% of fairbanks converter parts and machinery when superior trans parts bought them and closed them down. I can tell you judging from the parts i recieved, they were building a quality product.

On a side note for all you ford/chrysler guys: Frank Lupo's (dynamic converters LLC) father started fairbanks long before most of us on this board have been alive.

I had customers drive to fairbanks to have their converters repaired while they waited...all the way to NY....
That was a looooonnngg time ago.

thanks for posting that so I didnt have to look for it

I actually somehow found a number and called the guys son who built the fairbanks converters and shot the shit with him for a little while.
