So, I have been using a name that is not mine on FB for about 2 years. I have been reported a couple times and this last time (today) FB is requiring me to provide an ID with my personal info to be able to log in. Well, that's it. Fuck them. I am deactivating my account..... I hope. Im in a pickle. I need to log in so I can deactivate it but I cannot log in until I provide the "required documentation" Does anyone know a way around this? I mean, it wont even let me put my actual name in, it will only accept an ID of some sort.

I remember back 15 years ago when there were rumors circulating about the government possibly requiring internet users to register for online services under their legal name. Geeks were furious and would have no part of it because they felt it could open up avenues for abuse and privacy violations. A decade later, Facebook coaxed it out of most everybody like White Castle and Ex-Lax, geeks included, and look where we are now. If you're against government spying and maintain a Facebook account, color yourself a hypocrite.
