LindsayLohan, 24, is all over the news because she's a celebrity drug addict. While Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson 21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, Christopher Goeke 23, .........and Sheldon Tate 27 are all Marines that gave their lives this week, no media mention.

This is why I cant stand the media.

Blame the public because the media just wants ratings and puts up what people are interested in.
 
If the national media gave as much coverage to deaths in the war as they do celebrities, maybe the public would come to their senses and:

A) Bring everyone home
B) Quit sending them to senseless wars in the first place

On the other hand, there is no shortage of local news coverage when someone from the area is KIA. On the news channels for a day or two and they get a story in the paper. That's pretty respectable.
 
I dont understand what the fascination with "train wreck" celebs is. Whats so fun about watching an alcoholic/drug attic struggling to grasp reality? Some dumb famous person does some drugs. Oh fucking sweet. There are a few different takes on why the news reports on this stuff rather then important stuff. I think it's a combination of:

A: What the public want to see.
B: Government control of the media.

God bless our troops. Too sad to hear about them dying serving their country. May they rest in peace.
