Expired Safety Belts

I'm building a pop can crusher for one of my classes, and part of the crusher is a conveyor belt. I'm thinking a safety belt modified to fit over a couple of rollers will be just the ticket. Anybody have any expired straps that they'd like to donate to my cause?

How many feet do you need. I have some wheelchair transit bus straps. They are the same thickness as regular automotive seatbelts.
