Well, my 95 camaro is being gay...

Last week i was driving it and go to stop at a light and the car stalls, start it back up and put it in gear... stalls again. I brought it to the trans shop and they said it was the Torque converter lock up solenoid.

They changed it and the problem was fixed for 3 days, then it started again. We sent it back the the trans place and now there lost in what it could be... they are saying that its probably and issue from trans up to either the computer itself or somewhere in the harness. The other homo thing is that nobody seems to be able to connect with the computer with a scanner... just keeps saying cant communicate with the computer.

When you pull the trans wire harness the problem stops, wich is what is leading the trans place to believe that its not tranny related. But the issue with just driving the car with the harness off is that it starts in 3rd gear.

IM FUCKING LOST... MY BUDGET IS RUNNING SLIM AND IT SEEMS THAT I AM DECADES AWAY...

ANY IDEAS?

first chances r u have no power to your aldl link. on an lt1 car u have to have power at the link under the dash to connect to the computer. about the tcc solonoid. my gf bonneville does the same shit. i dunno if there a bad wire or if the computer is bad. it doesn't do it all the time only when the engine is warmed up the tcc will keep the converter locked. shits anoying. i would try a new pcm. or i have the software/hardware to reflash it and see if that fixes it. try this...when u press the brake the computer is suppost to unlock the converter so when u put it in gear just lightly hold the brake and see if it unlocks.

My hypertech programmer communicates fine with the ECU... and mine locks up all time, even when cold wich its not supposed to do. and the only way to move it is to rev it up a bit then put it in gear, as soon as you stop with the brakes on it dies

A number of things could be wrong. First off. some pre obd2 f bodys use a adaptor for most scan tools. With out it, it will not read correctly.
Since you unplug the transmission and it no longer locks up, its most likely the internal harness shorted/or external harness, or the ecm could be bad.
To start, you need a scanner that can read your vehicle, but you know that already. (unplugging the trans in a 1995 spike line pressure to max though, not the way to diagnosis it)
I assume your check engine light is on?
You just need to borrow the proper tools (scan tool) or take it to someone that has one.

Yeah the check engine light is only on when driving, at idle no light. there is some other issue.. a cooling related one because the fans never turn off they are always running so i assume thats the thermostat... but im not in that issue yet trying to get past this one.
