Ethanol?

Sean at CARS just did an ethanol build I think. Maybe he will post up if it isn't secret. And muscle car guys mostly make 500 to the wheels NA on pump gas nowadays...

Now that I read the article, go price of corn syrup go. If corn syrup prices rise enough pop will go back to using sugar and we'll all be better off and have better tasting pop. This thread sucks.

x2, thats what im hoping for. corn should only be used for 3 things...

corn dogs

animal feed

e85, e98 racing fuel

I like corn as a food by itself just not in my pop though. I've got a helluva stock of throwback mountain dew going. I just ran out of Mexican Coke the other day. Time for a trip to Costco this weekend I think.

Does anyone use ethanol for race fuel? I think its high octane attributes is all it had going for itself.

E85 isn't exactly "high octane" at roughly 94-96 octane (R+M/2). The major benefit is the cooling effect from the amount of fuel required.

E85 AKI is closer to 105...whered you get the 94-96 number? You get the cooling effect because alcohol burns at a lower temp than gas, and has a higher rate of heat absorbtion

I didnt really notice much of a difference in either of the throwback versions of dew and pepsi. I actually like the normal versions better
