The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:
  1. The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.
What the hell is up with this? I've been getting it a lot and it doesn't matter if the message is a couple words or a couple sentences. Has anyone else been getting this? What really pisses me off is that it clears your message when it pops up.
 
I usually buffer my updates (highlight all of the text by typing Control+A and then type Control+C) before posting for this exact reason.

Are you using FF or IE?

smart man but if you hit back it goes back to your message you typed

That's what I've been doing now.

Hmmm... almost sounds like your text is getting cleared before the attempted post. That would explain why you don't see anything at all when you hit the back button.

What do you have for your antivirus/internet security software? I'm trying to think if there is some Internet Explorer security setting that might be blocking the post but that would normaly block your ability to hit the reply button too.

Not always. I've gotten burned a few times when typing -very- long posts and encountering problems when trying to submit (probably a web server timeout) and when clicking "back" my update was gone.. Screw that.
