We got our bull dog knowing she had a heart problem. She's 9 months and hanging in there. She's a sweet dog and wiggles out of her skin when she see people and especially kids. I would get another one no question. Even with her issues she was $500.00 but her litter mates were $2000.00.

we had a male bully that got to be 11 years old before he passed 4 years ago. we now have a female EB but we got 2 female bully's from an alleged breeder. she promised papers blah blah blah. needless to say we have no idea where they came from. one has since passed on at 4 years old and the other is healthy as can be. actually sitting listening to her snoring at the other end of the couch. i'll post pics tomorrow when i get a chance.

my english bulldog is 7 years old. No major health issues. She snores and farts constantly, but other than that she's been an awesome dog. Only problem with her is she is not fond of other dogs. She didnt grow up with other dogs, and where i lived there were not other dogs really around so she isnt super friendly with them, but i don't know if that is a characteristc of the breed. i'll post some pics in a while

yeah i got one and mine was about $3500 but came with Guarantees as far as his health and etc. If he had any issues within a year of purchase meaning death or whatever i get a full refund. He's great a lil dog, to damn playful which is very odd for this breed but he does fart like a damn grown man and snores occasionally. His name is Fatman heres a few pics
he was about 1 yrs old in the first two and about 2 1/2 in the last pic. We were at the dream cruise in the first two.

Meet Bubba the nearly one year old English Bulldog. I took these a couple hours ago at the Royal Oak Dog Park.

He definitely liked to play .. This is the perfect time of year for bulldogs as it's cool enough for them to breathe.

Did anyone see that crap on Recue Ink about that lady selling the english with all of the birth defects ? I'm glad she got caught.

Yep I watched it.

One of the reasons why when anyone posts a thread on looking for a dog I try and explain about BYB(backyard breeders) Puppy Mills, and actual reputable breeders and rescues. People get bit in the ass all the time for not researching where their dog is coming from. Some times people are lucky and have no problems, but more times than not there are health or temperament problems.

I really like that show btw

That lady was selling 100 pups a year at $2,000 and up !! . BTW she was freaky looking too.

I know, right?

I was thinking to myself.....why would anyone pay HER that kind of money for a puppy. Plus it's not like they were really kept in the greatest condition. I mean it wasn't dirty or anything like that, but I kind of was hoping she didn't keep them in that container all the time.

Several of my family members have had EBDs or currently have them. As stated, they can be prone to health issues. They are NOT a low maintenance dog.

Bit of advice: Don’t let them get fat. People tend to think it’s cute or “par for the course” to let their bulldogs get fat. But this just exacerbates their already known health issues. Breathing, heatstroke, hip and elbow issues… by keeping your EBD trim, you can avoid or lessen these problems. We’ve been fortunate with the health of all of our EBDs and we have to assume that keeping them semi-fit has played a part in that.

And yeah, Bacon was a rescue. There are several EBD rescue websites that you can check out.

Bulldogs crack me up. I was asleep at my buddies house and his bulldog slept on the couch right next to where I was passed out. That damn thing snored all night long! lol

this is Ivanna, unfortunatly she passed away this last July at 4 years of age.
