Dude I have no idea I never used one before . It's in my truck I never turned it on all I know is I saw a apple on the back. They asked me to sell it .

If it's an Ipod touch, the entire face of it will be black. If it's not, and it's the height and width of a pack of cigarettes it's a normal Ipod. If it's about 2 inches long and half inch wide it's a nano. If it's about a half inch tall and 3/4 inch wide, it's a shuffle and won't have a screen on it at all. Depending on generation this can vary a little.
