Electric water pump issues

Is there any way to check an electric water pump and make sure it's flowing what it should be? With the pump on I can look in the radiator and see coolant flowing but it doesn't look to be moving as good as it should, Meziere 55gpm

Fill a 55 gallon drum with water, weld a fitting on to the bottom the same dia. as pump inlet, hook the pump to it and turn it on. Should empty the drum in ~ one minute. 55gpm is free flow ratings most likely
