Cop was out of line... It is not a crime to be rude to a police officer. His behavior did not constitute the immediate physically confrontation.. The cop could have tried verbal commands first.

I think the officer was in line and more rude people should be slapped and pined to the ground and forced to apologize. Immediate physical confrontation gets stuff done.

The dude broke no laws............. Not the kind of country i want to live in.

hope both officers lose their jobs for that one. 45min for a call about a fight is fucking ridiculous. probably a long line at dunken donuts.

Yep, I'd be ok if a "us marine" laid the smack down on an "army guy" acting like that if they were both just regular dudes on the street... But the police officer should be held to a higher professional standard.

Yeah cops will get in trouble for that one and they should. The guy had every right to be pissed that they took 45 minutes and it was clear the cop had an attitude with his response "I'm not on your watch" or whatever. Actually, you are dumbass. That's the only reason you're a cop and probably won't be for much longer.

The act of stepping up and getting in the face of a law enforcement officer is constituted as a sign of aggression which in turn can be met with physical force if the officer sees fit. He probably didn't have to slap him but I would have had the same reaction if placed in his position. You never know who you're dealing with.

I dont know what you were watching, but in the video the rest of us are watching, the cop stepped up to the army vet.

Yes the cop stepped to Mr. "US Soldier Bro" after he became verbally combative. Cops don't have to wait for someone to make a move on them. Then the "know who you're fucking talking to" is a further sign of aggression. Fuck Mr. Reserve, he's cocky a deserved what he got and the cop did nothing that could constitute as being over aggressive.

ahh, I didn't realize they passed a law that says being rude to a cop is illegal, or is it legal for everyone to slam somebody on the ground if they're rude to them? I really need to brush up on the new assault laws.

It's not illegal to be rude by any means but if the LEO feels that a situation is escalating and could potentially turn physical then he needs to deescalate and take control of the situation.

Plus it seems like Mr. Reserve is the one who called the police. They show up to help the guy and he cops an attitude like that. Again I say fuck him.

yeah...fuck that. they are their to enforce the LAWS..not be the MORAL compass!
