Ecoboost F150 ppl come inside

I'm looking at getting one, what should I look for? I'm looking at a left over 2013 that is new.
How do you guys like them? Anyone have them modded yet? Any issues? What model do you have?
 
They a great trucks. No real issues that I'm aware of. I know they can make mid 400s and run in the 12s!
 
I had an '11 FX4 crew and put 40k on it in 2 years. Traded it in for a '13 because I wanted cooled seats and MyFordTouch. The '11 got 16.5mpg (total, including towing) over the 40k miles but it ran strong and had no issues pulling my car on open trailers. I just bought an enclosed but haven't had a chance to pull it yet.
Mine was stock but I drove a tuned one and it felt a little stronger. The trans definitely shifted better. I won't be tuning mine until the warranty is up though.

I have a 2013 I love the truck its fun to drive and rides like a caddy the gas mileage is not what they advertise though. My truck ran low 15 sec passes with 3/4 tank of gas spinning off the line not bad. I wanna mod it but it will void the warranty. Good luck finding a 13 model most are gone
 
Also for some reason the truck has so much torque I have been having a problem with the tire spinning on the rim I might take it to dealer but they probly wont do shit about it untill I have a blowout. Kinda weird!!
 
I I have an 11 crew cab 4x4 no motor issues. Rotors warped, 35k miles. All the chrome reflective stuff on the fog lights came off, now they aren't bright at all and it's not covered under. warranty. Dash shows 16.5mpg and that's with 22's
 
MPG-Mileage is a direct result of your right foot. The 5.0 and Eco will get close to the same MPG, with the 5.0 getting a tad better if you're heavier on the loud pedal, the V8 is more forgiving than the twin turbos.

Towing-The Eco will walk away from a 5.0 all day. I've towed with both, both are good trucks to tow with, but the max torque at under 2000 rpm make the Eco a beast. I've pulled both an enclosed 24' trailer and flat deck all steel open and the Eco does an awesome job.

Tuning- Ford can and will send out an Engineer or make the dealership send certain data if there is problem they deem to be a "known tuning related" issue. I've seen it first hand. If they can prove you tuned your truck, you're pumping mud. With that being said, I have plenty of customers that have tuned their trucks. As stated the throttle response and trans shifting is MUCH improved. I haven't seen too much gain in MPG from any of the tunes I've run across. Again MPG is a direct result of your right foot.

I've personally owned 2 Eco's. They run strong stock, tuned and will do more than you should in a 1/2 ton truck.
 
I know a certain owner who sees 1.5mpg improvement with a livernois 87 perf tune.

80% Highway driving. Lots of cruise control with and without tune.

The warranty void is scary but I did see a plugged in unit on my favorite blue eco f150!
 
Thanks guys. I have come across a 13 still new on the lot. Not the color I wanted, but the price off should help ease that pain. I contacted livernois about one of the tuners. I will be coming out of my 02 superduty to the f150. Even if my mileage is close to the same the money I save on gas over diesel will help. 85% of my driving is expressway. 40 miles one way to work. Not to mention I don't have the use for a 1ton anymore.
 
I have a 13, picked it up late January. Reset the computer for fuel economy n such the day I pickked it up. Most of my driving is highway (60-70% highway) and am currently averaging 17mpg overall and the recent tanks have been averaging 18mpg

You guys that drive 1/2 ton trucks 40 miles one way are nuts. Buy a beater that gets 30+mpg. Your fuel savings alone will damn near make your truck payment. I drive 100 miles a day in a 40mpg bomber, and save the wear and tear on my superduty. If you are looking for mpgs out of a pickup, then you are looking at the wrong vehicle

I buy mustangs and let them sit (like a dumbass) I like driving my truck!
 
had nothing but problems, second set of turbos, 3rd set of intercoolers, and now it misses at idle until its warmed up
