You get what you pay for. Had a buddy buy a single turbo kit from the same company and spent as much to have it fixed as the whole kit costs. Headers were warped, flanges were warped, all the lines hit. He had to have the intercooler end tank modded to fit. It was labeled as a bolt in as well. And after all of that , the turbos were chinese junk and failed within 500 miles .

There is a reason that a well made kit with real, name brand parts costs so much cash......

If you swap out the turbos for good units they are a decent kit. The Fbody guys have been in the low 10's or 9's with em. Thats with Master Power or Turbonetics turbos using bits and pieces from the ebay kit. The hot side is usually decent, but don't expect to build a 6 second race car with it. Would be fine for a street car as long as you change the turbo(s).

You would do better to get headers etc and piece the kit together with known good components. The XS power intercoolers work well, the headers not so much.

If you want to do budget. You'll want to do alot of research.

we did 3 kits when i worked at Victory 2 of the kits needed to be redone to even fit on the car and the kit that did fit out of the box the crossover pipe broke off after 400 miles and all 3 turbos went bad after only 200 miles or so

The On3 kits are alot better. I've done quite a bit of research on them and everything I've read about them seems to be good. Single 70mm kits are like 1400 bucks, and for a MP turbo upgrade its about 1700

i got a hot side kit on ebay. just the piping and headers, no down pipe. I will make my own cold side. and from what ive herd it is a copy cat of a big turbo kit company out there. for a lot less. Its all 304 stainless, welds all looks amazing. All bolts up nice out of the car and should clear everything in the car. If it does not then i have no problem modifying a bit here and there.

I bought my hot side kit knowing im going to make some changes to it, its a starting point for 200 bucks, and this kit that uses headers, not manifolds like the expensive kits. I will piece together the rest of my kit with good parts, turbo, clamps, lines and fittings ect. but its better than spending 4-6k on a hot side kit though a big company.

Dont buy it if you have the mind set of bolting it on a everything working.

my trans am will get an ebay turbo kit with a turbonetics turbo this winter. 2500 by the time im all done tuned with fuel system etc...

I ran an ebay tubro on my ranger for about a year with out and problems. I drove back and forth to western over a dozen times when i was going to school out there, and put about 10k on the truck with it on. I know there not the best turbos out there but for 250 its not a bad gig.

Heres a couple vids of the truck

ever read about them on turbomustangs.com?? not so good.

when i spent money on a kit, i wanted to support an american made product, it turns out i supported a WARREN, MICHIGAN made product.

felt good to buy a quality product, from a michigan company. if more people did this, michigan wouldnt be where it is today.

yeah I read about those kits on every forum turbo related. the only person that had anything bad to say was a guy named millhouse(think was on corral) and he was just bashing on3 for no reason no experience with the kits whatsoever. The kits originally came with 304ss hot side which has been revised to Mild steel, to prevent the cracking. I also believe they made a support for the turbo to keep the weight off the PS header. I read several articles with people that had installed them on there own cars, with no problems yet. I wouldn't trust the cheap base turbo included with the kit, but an upgrade to the MP70 wouldnt be a bad move.
I originally was going to go with a pony down kit, but this on3 is way cheap to pass up. my car isnt driven much, nor a track queen. I think it will suit my needs.

If you could find that not so good article you speak of on turbomustangs.com I wouldnt mind seeing it.....

the on3 kits dont fit that well from what i have seen. but like i stated i just bought a header to flange hot side kit and will build my own cold side and down pipe.

I have the on3 kit on my wifes 90 notchback and it fits fine, still has the working A/C. I do not have the front swaybar on but it is supposed to fit with it.

Do you have the base 70mm turbo that comes with the kit on it? any pics of the kit installed?

How has it worked out so far, any issues? Im curious to how that turbo holds up

I bought the kit used, It is the new mild steel kit. We only have around 500 miles on it so far and one track day. Everything looks to be great quality and fit good. The AC line was the only thing that needed to be bent a little for clearance. The turbo boost is full at around 3000. PM me your Email, I found some install pics, but none fully installed
